Tsunami
Normally I can laugh at anything, no matter how morbid. But knowing that I surf people keep coming up to me and asking if I would have liked to ride the Tsunami that struck Asia this week. Frankly, in this case, it's just not funny.
Please hold those poor people in the light and knock on wood for your own dry status. Peace.

I think this is the most articulate response I've heard from someone of the western side of the world. It's not too dramatic, as it is a wesern response and there is no way for most of the western world to really understand that tragedy, and it is sincere enough to understand that it is beyond there comprehension.
