i'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me...

Well, I'm not quite the loser that Beck sang about, but I have been notified by Laura from MoveOn that I did not win the "Bush in 30 Years" contest. Boo Hoo.

So now it back the drawing board (literally), find a new challenge, set a new goal. Life is cyclical and it's only by constant effort that you find any kind of real success. I lost this contest, but so did a lot of other talented people, so I'm fine with that.

My original goal was to make the first cut of 50 semi-finalists and I achieved that. Yey! Then to have been picked as one of the 10 finalists, well, that was just pure gravy. Sort of like finding a $20 bill blowing around a deserted parking lot. It was a "hell of a ride" as they say.
